Masala Prawns

This recipe is courtesy of Mercy, she makes the best and most delicious prawns masala! I make this quite often and it seems to be a hit, thanks Mercy!

6-7 Red onions blended
2 inch ginger blended with 1 bulb of garlic
7 tablespoons (or more) of Chili powder mixed with some water to make a thick paste
Lots of curry leaves
Salt & Sugar for taste
1 1/2 kilos of big Tiger Prawns (about 25 pieces)

In a pan use some oil and fry the Prawns a few pieces at a time then set aside, add some more oil and stir in the blended onion followed by the blended ginger and garlic. Let this simmer and cook for about 8 minutes then add the Chili powder paste and let this cook over a low fire for about 15 minutes or more. Add salt and sugar followed by the Prawns. Add lots of curry leaves and let this cook for a further 10 minutes.

Best eaten with hot steaming white rice! Enjoy!
