Lamb steaks marinated with yoghurt and cumin
We had a nice dinner today to celebrate Joe's 1st day at the Big Blue IBM...anyway surprised him with some grilled lamb and mash with gravy. Since I was not feeling well we had some chicken soup along with it.
The longer the lamb is marinated the better.
The marinade:-
1 tub of yoghurt
2 teaspoons of cumin powder
Generous amount of coarsely ground pepper
A few dashes of Worcester sauce
Some English parsley finely chopped
5-6 cloves of garlic smashed
Salt to taste
Mix the lamb pieces with the ingredients above and leave aside for a few hours.
I used a grill pan and cooked the lamb pieces for about 8 minutes for a well done piece of lamb steak.
Serve with mashed potato and gravy. Enjoy!
