Sambal Prawns

Made this last weekend and only managed to find the time today to post it!

I am getting pretty lazy so I picked up a packet of freshly ground dried chili at the market, got the prawn vendor to shell the prawns and bought cleaned peeled small onions and some cleaned garlic!! Terrible isn't it?

1 kilo medium sized prawns
15 small onions, 7 pips of garlic, 1 inch ginger, 1 inch piece of roasted belacan all blended together with a tiny bit of water
1 packet ground dried chili
Tamarind water (1/4 cup)
2 small limes
Sugar, Salt and some Black pepper

Fry the blended ingredients well in some oil before adding the ground chili and on low heat stir and cook the chili for about 15 minutes. Add the tamarind, sugar, salt and pepper to taste and stir in the prawns, cook for 10 minutes and lastly squeeze the lime. (Only add water if you find the paste too thick, I did not add any water).
