Steamed White Pomfret
White Pomfret (White Bawal) is a great fish to be steamed. We had this with some white rice, stir fried spinach and some really hot sliced chili in soy sauce - heavenly!
Rub fish well with salt (go easy with the salt since you will be using soy sauce as well). Add some white pepper, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Leave the fish aside.
In a pan heat some oil and fry till crispy some finely sliced ginger and garlic remove and keep aside. Add these fried stuff over the fish together with some sliced red cilies. Steam for under 10 minutes and before serving sprinkle the ginger/garlic oil over the fish together with some coriander leaves.
