Fried Rice

Fried Rice @ Nasi Goreng is an easy going dish, you can add just about anything you like and almost everyone can make this blindfolded even!! Since we had a big spread waiting for us for dinner on Friday at Sophia's place, Joe and I settled on some fried rice for lunch.

Ingredients
Cooked rice - 4 cups
Chicken breast - chopped up into small pieces
Prawns
Squid - sliced
Small onions (7) and garlic pips (6) chopped
Spring onions chopped
Long Beans chopped
4 tablespoons ground chili
2 tablespoons thick kicap
1 egg whisked
Salt & Pepper

Fry the onions and garlic and then add the chicken, followed by the prawns and then the squid. Let it cook for a bit before adding the ground chili and stirring well. Let the chili cook a further 7 minutes before adding the long beans follwed by the thick kicap and stir it for 5 minutes and then whisk the egg in and fry well. Taste for salt and pepper and add the cooked rice and continue to fry the rice for 5-7 minutes before removing from the fire.

Serve with sliced chillies in light kicap.
